Reservation(s) for study rooms can be made up to seven days in advance.
When making a reservation online, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions below.
- Users must have a NSU email address and a Spartan card to use the online reservation system.
- Patrons CANNOT make use of the study rooms if they have outstanding library obligations (e.g. overdue books, fines on their account, etc.).
- Rooms can be reserved in 60-minute blocks with a maximum of two blocks (2 hours) per person, per day. Additional time may be reserved at the discretion of library staff and based on availability. Patrons may reserve a room up to seven days in advance.
- Present your NSU ID at the Information desk to check into a reserved room.
- There is NO FOOD or DRINK (water being the ONLY exception) allowed in any study room. Failure to comply can result in a fine and/or loss of reservation privileges.
- Do not leave any of your belongings unattended. The library is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property.
- If you have reserved a room and it is occupied by someone else during your reserved time, please go to the first floor and let the library staff know that you need access to the room you reserved.
- Rooms left unattended after 15 minutes may be forfeited. Be advised that single persons using a group study room may be asked to move if a group has need of the room.
- Every patron is REQUIRED to close the study room door upon exit and to make sure it locks. If the door does not lock upon closing, the patron MUST report that to the Information desk when returning the key.
- Users are responsible for the contents of the room from the time they check out the key. The study room key IS NOT to leave the building FOR ANY REASON. Removing a study room key from the building can result in a fine and/or loss of study room privileges.
- If a patron returns a room key without locking the door or informing the library staff that the door will not lock, then the patron is still responsible for the contents of the room. Turning in the key for check-in AND closing and locking the door (or reporting a lock problem) is the only acceptable method for a user to relinquish their liability for the room and its contents (i.e.--TVs, cables, media equipment, furniture etc.).
- To ensure fair access to study rooms for all patrons, kindly vacate your study room 10 minutes before your reservation time ends. If a patron does not leave a room on time and/or if the room key is not checked in within the last 10 minutes of your reservation time, you can incur a late return fine.
- All study rooms close one hour before the library’s closing time.
- For ADA compliance, do not move, add, or remove any tables and/or chairs from the study rooms.
Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in fine(s) and/or loss of access to study rooms.
