The summer season is officially here and the Lyman Beecher Brooks Library (LBBL) invites you to explore over 170 databases while the temperatures climb. Learn about some of the newest additions and recently expanded access below:

Expanded JSTOR Access:

  • What's new?
    • LBBL is pleased to announce that the complete JSTOR Archival Journals Collection is now available to NSU students, faculty, and staff. A multi-disciplinary online database that includes the complete volumes and full text of nearly 3,000 academic journals, JSTOR Archival Journals Collection is an essential information resource for scholarly research and engagement.
  • What's different?
    • JSTOR Archival Journals Collection replaces the JSTOR Essential subscription and provides access to all fifteen of the distinct journal collections offered by JSTOR. As a result of this action, NSU students, faculty, and staff can now access approximately 2,300 more academic journals than before. They include not only journals in the humanities and social sciences but in the sciences and health sciences as well. A complete list of the journal titles that are included in the new subscription can be downloaded from the JSTOR website.
  • What else is new with JSTOR?
    • JSTOR now includes the full Artstor collection of over 2 million images. With this change, Artstor will cease to exist as a standalone platform on August 1, 2024.
  • How do I connect to JSTOR?
    • To begin using the JSTOR Archival Journals Collection, please go to the library’s A-Z Databases webpage and click on the JSTOR link in the alphabetical title list. You will be required to provide your NSU username and password to proceed.
